TLC's Mission
TLC (Technology Learning Center) was created by me (Craig Ellison). I'm the Instructional Technologist for Floyd County Schools. My personal goal is to help all digital immigrants (Born before 1982) to speak the language of digital natives (After 1982). This site was designed to help improve the use of technology by students, administrators, parents, and teachers. By the way, I'm in the before 1982 group so don't worry... I'll try to make it easy. More reading on Immigrants vs. Natives.

How does TLC work?
Click "Tutorials" -> Find a subject -> View all the tutorials in that subject
(Tutorials over 2 minutes can take longer to view so be patient. I'm working on reducing the size on my newer tutorials)

What are "Tutorials"?
Tutorials are a quick, easy and effective way to learn about technology/software that you can use in your school, classroom, or personal life. These tutorials are a combination of Flash animation and voice direction. Basically, you get to see and hear me show you how to do "Stuff" with a computer. For example: How do I add titles in PhotoStory 3?

Do I need any special software or equipment?
Yes and No. Yes: Tutorials can be viewed in Windows Media Player or Flash. It wouldn't be a bad idea to plug in some headphones for private listening. No: Most computers in Floyd County have these two programs installed and some form of speakers. If not, click here: Windows Media Player or Flash. You may also need Adobe Reader for the Reference Card Section: Adobe Reader
